Country sees 32,758 Covid cases, 44 deaths in last 24 hours

DGS records an increase in the number of people hospitalised to 2,348, 129 more than on Sunday, with 172 in intensive care units, 12 more in the last 24 hours.

Portugal has recorded 32,758 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the last 24 hours, 44 more deaths associated with Covid-19 and a new increase in hospital admissions, according to figures released today by the health authority (DGS).

The daily epidemiological bulletin of the DGS records an increase in the number of people hospitalised to 2,348, 129 more than on Sunday, with 172 in intensive care units, 12 more in the last 24 hours.

Active cases have again increased in the last 24 hours, totalling 509,628, 19,839 more than on Sunday, and 12,875 people have recovered from the disease, which increases the national total of recovered to 1,725,342.
