BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Nomura and Novobanco are the banks hired for the operation.

Portugal has hired banks for the syndicated launch of a 20-year government bond, maturing on April 2042. The operation will be launched soon, subject to market conditions, announced one of the banks this Tuesday, cited by financial news agency Dow Jones.

BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Nomura and Novobanco are the banks hired for the operation, according to the same source.

The new bond line will make it possible to close the gap in the longest Portuguese public debt curve, placing a benchmark between the bonds maturing in April 2037 and February 2045.

It is already a tradition for IGCP to start a year with a syndicated launch. This operation is expected to be carried out on Wednesday morning.
