Portugal sees 16 deaths, 6,334 new Covid cases in 24 hours

This Monday's epidemiological bulletin of the DGS records an increase in the number of people hospitalised, with 914 hospitalisations and 150 in intensive care units.

Portugal on Monday records 16 more deaths associated with Covid-19 and 6,334 infections with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, as well as a new rise in hospitalizations, indicates the health authority (DGS).

The daily epidemiological bulletin of the DGS records an increase in the number of people hospitalised, with 914 hospitalisations this Monday, 36 more than on Sunday, and 150 in intensive care units, one less in the last 24 hours.

Active cases have again increased in the last 24 hours, totalling 105,614, 3,895 more than on Sunday.

Of the 16 deaths, five occurred in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, six in the Centre, three in the North and two in the Algarve.
