Industrial production prices in Portugal rose 18.7% last November, compared to the same month last year, surpassing the variation recorded in October.

The Industrial Production Prices Index (IPPI) rose 18.7% year-on-year in November, mainly reflecting the increase in the prices of raw materials and energy, according to data released this Monday by Statistics Portugal (INE). Compared to the previous month, the variation was 1.6%.

“Industrial Production Prices Index year-on-year change rate was 18.7% in November (16.2% in the previous month). The evolution of this indicator reflects the intensity of the increase in raw material prices and, in particular, of fuels and electricity,” explains INE.

Excluding the Energy grouping, the Industrial Production Prices Index year-on-year change rate was 9.9% (8.8% in October).
