The Portuguese startup has raised €10 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Indico Capital and Knight Capital, from the Netherlands.

Infraspeak has raised €10 million to “consolidate its presence in the European market”, in a Series A funding round co-led by Indico Capital and Knight Capital, from the Netherlands, with existing investors Innovation Nest and Caixa Capital also participating. The maintenance and facilities management platform plans to “significantly strengthen the team by the end of 2022” and expand into Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH) and France.

“The future of facilities management software is around flexibility, intelligence and integration. Flexibility to allow each team to adapt their software to any kind of operations; Intelligence to proactively transform the thousands of data points collected daily into actionable insights for staff and management; and Integration to allow the plethora of people, processes, IoT and software to intercommunicate efficiently with each other. Infraspeak is the only platform that consolidates all operational tools and workflows into a single solution, and this is just the beginning,” explains Felipe Ávila da Costa, co-founder and CEO of Infraspeak, quoted in a press release.

Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, Ale-hop, Engie, Penguin FM, IHG Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Keppel Data Centres are some of the 500 companies, managers and service providers, which use Infraspeak’s technology to manage 50,000 buildings in the hospitality, healthcare, education and transportation, among many others, reports the startup.

“The digitalisation of an industry that still relies on outdated solutions to operate was the opportunity that made us support Infraspeak from day one. The rapid adoption of digital solutions, post-pandemic, by the facilities management industry, coupled with a frankly unique product globally, gives us the security to continue supporting the company,” explains Stephan Morais, president of Indico Capital, quoted in a press release.

“The facilities management industry represents an extensive but under-exploited market for technology startups. Infraspeak, as Europe’s leading innovator in the field, has succeeded in creating an operating system that enables the industry to act on its transformation goals and its sustainability objectives (ESG) by digitising the frontline of work. We are very pleased to support the company, and believe in a future in which the facilities management ecosystem collaborates fully through Infraspeak,” explains Arthur Nobel, director of Knight Capital, quoted in the same press release.

With offices in Portugal, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Spain, Infraspeak has over 100 employees worldwide. For this new phase, the priorities are “hiring top talent (the company plans to significantly reinforce the team by the end of 2022), increasing the platform and consolidating its presence in the European market,” by expanding into the DACH and French markets.
