Created in Helsinki, Reaktor has just announced the expansion of its network of technological talent hubs in Europe, with the opening of an office in Lisbon next month.

Reaktor will open an office in Lisbon, which will be its new technology skills hub, and plans to hire 100 people with technical qualifications, including programmers, in the next three to four years, the Finnish consultancy announced on Tuesday.

Created in Helsinki, Reaktor has just announced the expansion of its network of technological talent hubs in Europe, with the opening of an office in Lisbon next month.

According to the company, which has Adidas, Finnish Defence Forces, Leho, Nasdaq, Zenrobotics and Liverpool FC among its clients, the aim is to “recruit over 100 technical profiles, including programmers, in the next three to four years”.

The office will open in December, but recruitment is already underway, “given the indifferent nature of its location and the consequent prevalence of telecommuting,” the company stressed.

“When we were looking for the right location, the Portuguese tech scene was a natural choice for us,” said Nizar Jouini, Head of Engineering at Reaktor Lisbon, quoted in a statement.

“The talent pool here is amazing; people have the skills, are relaxed and honest about what they can do. Lisbon embodies the core values of our company – an international, want-to-do paradigm, an endless curiosity to meet the unknown and to do more and better when times are challenging,” he added.

“It is also an opportunity for Reaktor to apply its attitude of putting people first – our essence is to make people find the true value in what they do. Our next CTO [chief technology officer] could come from Lisbon, which is a very exciting prospect,” explained Jouini.
