The consultancy company will create a new centre of technological excellence in Portugal, through the creation of the digital technology consulting team.

PwC will create a new technological excellence centre in Portugal, which should start operating in January next year, with around 100 employees. The digital technology consulting team should reach a total of 300 employees.

“As of January 1, 2022, we will have a team of around 100 employees specialised in SAP transformation projects and we expect to reach 300 employees in this field, which shows our enormous optimism in the operation. We also want to be a SAP reference at a national and European level, alongside other technologies where we already have a relevant national base, such as Salesforce, Outsystems and Microsoft,” said António Brochado Correia, territory senior partner at PwC, in a statement.

From the same date, the consultancy will also integrate over 30 new employees from JFM-SI Consulting, which will integrate PwC’s partnership. Founded in 2010, the company specialized in SAP implementation projects has a competence centre for implementation projects and maintenance of SAP solutions.

This integration “represents a reinforcement of the activity and the offer of technology consulting services, strengthening the digital and business skills already in place, as well as a recognition by the PwC network of the capabilities of national talent to serve large global organisations operating locally and globally”.

“This is an important step for the company, in line with our new global strategy ‘The New Equation’, whose goal is to be the world’s most trusted and relevant professional services provider, the one that attracts the best talent and combines the most innovative technologies, to help organisations and society build trust and deliver sustained results,” says António Brochado Correia.
