309 new cases and 6 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 309 new cases.

There are 309 new cases of coronavirus compared to Sunday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to  820,716. 6 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 623 inpatients, 136 of them in intensive care units (ICU). There are over 15,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 16,843 people, 6 of them in the last 24 hours.
