1,944 new cases and 105 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 1,944 new cases.

There are 1,944 new cases of coronavirus compared to Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 792,829. 105 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 3,819  inpatients, 688 of them in intensive care units. There are over 130,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 15,754 people, 105 of them in the last 24 hours.
