State Budget 2021 approved only by Socialists

The State Budget for 2021 was approved on Wednesday in parliament, only with favourable votes from the Socialist Party.

Portugal’s proposed State Budget for 2021 was approved on Wednesday in parliament, with the Socialist Party (PS) voting in favour and the abstentions of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), People-Animals-Nature party (PAN), Ecologist Party (Os Verdes) and Joacine Katar Moreira and Cristina Rodrigues.

The Social Democratic Party (PSD), Left Bloc (BE), CDS-People’s Party and the sole members of parliament of Chega, André Ventura, and the Liberal Initiative, João Cotrim de Figueiredo, voted against the law.
