1,249 new cases and 14 more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 1,249 new cases.

There are 1,394 new cases of coronavirus compared to Sunday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 87,913. 14 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 877 inpatients, 128 of them in intensive care units. There are over 48,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 2,094 people, 14 of them in the last 24 hours.
