691 new cases and three more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and in the last 24 hours, there have been 691 new cases.

There are 691 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 71,156. Three people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections, with 46% of the total.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 588 inpatients, 85 of them in intensive care units. There are over 40,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 1,931 people, three of them in the last 24 hours. The number of recovered is currently at 46,676.
