585 new cases and three more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

Health authorities have identified a further 585 people infected with the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, with a further three deaths due to Covid-19.

There are 585 new cases of coronavirus compared to Tuesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 62,126. Three people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections, with 41% of the total.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with only 406 inpatients, 57 of them in intensive care units. There are more than 35,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it appeared in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has already caused the death of 1,852 people, three of them in the last 24 hours.
