There are 646 new cases and three new deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 61,541. To date, there have been 1,849 deaths and 43,284 people recovered from the disease.

There are 646 new cases of coronavirus compared to Tuesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 61,541. Three people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections, with 45% of the total.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with only 391 inpatients, 52 of them in intensive care units. There are more than 35,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it appeared in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has already caused the death of 1,849 people, three of them in the last 24 hours. As for the number recovered, it stands at 43,284.

The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate most of the new infections. Of the 646 new cases registered in the last 24 hours, 290 were in this region.
