Six more Covid-19 deaths, 311 new infections on Wednesday
In the last 24 hours, 311 new cases were identified by the coronavirus in Portugal, with the total number of infected rising to 40,415.
Portugal has recorded six more deaths related to Covid-19 on Wednesday and 311 more infections, most of them in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, according to the health authority (DGS) epidemiological bulletin.
DGS data shows a total of 1,549 deaths related to Covid-19 and 40,415 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
Compared to Wednesday’s data, today there was a 0.4% increase in deaths. The cases of infection rose by 0.8%.
In the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, where there have been the largest number of outbreaks, the Covid-19 pandemic has reached 17,767 confirmed cases, 240 more than on Wednesday, which corresponds to 77% of new infections.
