There are 346 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal. Death toll at 1,520

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 37,036. Since the outbreak was detected in the country, 1,520 people have died.

There are 346 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 37,036. The Lisbon region continues to have the highest number of new infections. So far, 1,520 people have died.

The number of those recovered from the disease rose by 183 to 22,852 in total, while the number of deaths rose to 1,520, three more deaths than in the last balance sheet published by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS). Two of the people who died were over 80 years old, revealed Health Minister Marta Temido at the daily press conference.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with only 431 being admitted, 73 of them in intensive care. There are 1,241 people awaiting laboratory results and over 30,000 under surveillance by health authorities.
