Number of Covid-19 cases increases 1%. Death toll at 1,436

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 33,592. Since the outbreak was detected in the country, 1,436 people have died.

The number of people infected with coronavirus is currently at 33,592, having increased 1% compared to this Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, eight people have died from the disease, according to the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Since the outbreak started in Portugal, 33,592 confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the country, i.e. more 331 than the number recorded in Wednesday’s balance sheet. As far as the number of deaths is concerned, 1,436 deaths have been recorded.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 445 being hospitalized (more 17 than yesterday), of which 58 in intensive care (more two). There are 1,741 people awaiting laboratory results and 28,685 under surveillance by health authorities.
