Number of Covid-19 cases increases 0.7%. Death toll at 1,263

The last DGS report counts 228 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus in 24 hours. 16 people have died from the disease since yesterday.

Portugal has registered 228 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 0.7% over the previous day, with the total number of infected people rising to 29,660.

In the last 24 hours, further 16 people died due to Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,263, according to the latest Directorate-General for Health (DGS) report.

The data revealed this Wednesday also shows that there have been 6,452 people recovered from Covid-19 in Portugal, with 21 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours.
