Number of Covid-19 cases increases 0.9%. Death toll at 1,190

The last DGS report counts 264 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus in 24 hours. 6 people have died from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Portugal has registered 264 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 0.9% over the previous day, with the total number of infected people rising to 28,583.

In the last 24 hours, six people have died from the disease, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Among those infected, there are 673 people hospitalized, of which 112 are in intensive care units. A total of 3,328 people have recovered from the disease.

The North remains the most affected region, with 16,214 confirmed cases and 677 registered deaths. Lisbon comes after, with 7,951 confirmed cases and 262 deaths. The virus is also prominent in the Centre region, which registers 3,598 confirmed cases and 221 fatalities.
