The last DGS report counts 187 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus in 24 hours. Nine people have died from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Portugal has registered 187 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 0.66% over the previous day, with the total number of infected people rising to 28,319.

In the last 24 hours, nine people have died from the disease, according to the latest update to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate General of Health (DGS).

The data show that 680 people are hospitalized and 108 are subject to intensive care (five more than the previous day). The others, who represent the overwhelming majority of cases, are being monitored from their homes.
