Number of people infected with coronavirus increases 0.68%. Death toll at 928

The number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has increased to 24,027. There are now 928 deaths.

Portuguese health authorities have identified 163 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the number of people infected by the new coronavirus in the country to 24,027. This is a daily growth rate of 0.68%, the lowest since the beginning of the outbreak. In the last 24 hours, 25 people have died, bringing the death toll to 928, according to data from the Directorate General of Health (DGS).

There are already 1,357 cases recovered in the country, a number that continues to increase, having registered an increase of 28 people compared to the previous balance sheet. There are still 5,091 people awaiting laboratory results, as well as 30,703 under surveillance by health authorities.

According to the latest epistemological bulletin, 995 patients with Covid-19 are currently hospitalized, 176 of which in intensive care units. Most patients continue to be treated at home (86.3%).
