Cases of Covid-19 rise to 21,982. Death toll at 785
The number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has increased to 21,982. There are now 785 deaths.
In the last 24 hours, 603 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Portugal, bringing the number of infected people to 21,982. So far the death toll stands at 785.
According to data collected by the Directorate General for Health (DGS) by midnight on Wednesday, there were 21,982 confirmed cases, an increase of 2.82% over the 21,379 registered this Tuesday. In the last 24 hours, the coronavirus has killed 23 people.
But the highlight goes to the recovered ones, which already amount to 1,143 people, having increased about 24% in just one day. This Tuesday, the number of recovered cases had already exceeded the number of deaths.
