Cases of Covid-19 rise to 19,022. Death toll at 657

The number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has increased to 19,022. There are now 657 deaths.

The number of cases of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase, but in the last 24 hours there have been improvements, according to the Directorate General for Health (DGS) bulletin. By the end of Thursday, 181 new cases had been confirmed, the lowest figure since March 19th.

There are 19,022 confirmed cases of people infected with coronavirus in the country, a daily increase of 0.96%, the lowest rate since the beginning of the pandemic. Among these cases, 1,284 people are hospitalized, 222 of whom are in intensive care units. Since the outbreak started in Portugal, 519 people have recovered.

The death toll has also increased in the last 24 hours, but less than in previous days (28). The coronavirus has killed 657 people in the country since early March.
