Portugal has 12,442 cases of Covid-19. Death toll at 345

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Portugal rises to 12,442, while the number of coronavirus deaths has risen to 345.

The Directorate General for Health (DGS) identified 712 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal, bringing the number of people infected with the disease to 12,442. The data collected up to midnight also reveal that 34 more patients have died from the virus, 345 since the outbreak was detected in the country.

According to the DGS bulletin, there are 1180 people in hospital and 271 people in intensive care. There are 44 more patients considered cured, bringing the number of people recovered to 184.

The country’s North continues to be the most affected region in the country, with 7,053 cases and 186 deaths.
