Ban on trading of Sporting SAD shares lifted

Sporting confirmed to the CMVM the hiring of coach Rúben Amorim. Lions will pay 10 million to Sp. Braga in two instalments.

The Securities Market Commission (CMVM) announced on Thursday the lifting of the suspension of trading in Sporting SAD’s shares after the club announced the hiring of football coach Rúben Amorim.

According to the CMVM, the trading of the shares, suspended on Wednesday after Silas announced his departure from the technical command of the ‘lions’, was resumed “following the disclosure of relevant information”.

Sporting SAD confirmed today the hiring of coach Rúben Amorim from Sporting Braga, for €10 million, without revealing the duration of the contract.

Rúben Amorim becomes the fourth coach of the ‘lions’ this season, succeeding Silas, whose termination had been announced on Wednesday.
