The Angolan businesswoman had already made the same decision with the EuroBic bank.

Isabel dos Santos will leave the capital of Efacec, following the Luanda Leaks investigation, which exposed the alleged embezzlement of money from Sonangol by the businesswoman. The decision, communicated by the company itself, was taken after the Angolan company had also put up for sale its stake in the EuroBic bank.

“Isabel dos Santos informed the board of directors that she decided to leave the shareholder structure of Efacec Power Solutions, with final effect,” Efacec announced in a statement.

To this end, Isabel dos Santos asked the board of directors to initiate, with immediate effect, “the necessary steps” to carry out her departure from the shareholder structure of Efacec Power Solutions. The board of directors has already appointed advisors to do so.

Following this decision, Mário Leite da Silva resigned as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Jorge Brito Pereira resigned as Chairman of the General Meeting, with immediate effect. Leite da Silva, manager of Isabel dos Santos who has also resigned as president of BFA, is accused in the same case as the businesswoman.
