Porto replaces Lisbon in Forbes' ranking: it is considered one of the six best cities in Europe to invest in 2020. Naples, Megève, Székesfehérvár, Batumi and Rotterdam complete the list.
2020 is coming and the US magazine Forbes has already elected the six best European cities to invest in next year. The city of Porto, which has been gaining prominence and is increasingly an option for foreign investors, is in this ranking.
Last year, the city of Lisbon was one of Forbes’ elected representatives. However, with the significant growth it experienced throughout 2019, it is estimated that good business in houses is more difficult to find. The next best place to invest is in Porto, where house prices are still 30% lower than in Lisbon despite a 15% increase in sales”, explains Rita Ribeiro, from the real estate agency INS Portugal to the magazine.
The magazine also writes that Portugal has benefited from policies such as the gold visa.
Following Forbes, the best cities to invest in next year, besides Porto, are Naples (Italy), Megève (France), Székesfehérvár (Hungary), Batumi (Georgia) and Rotterdam (Netherlands).
