This conclusion is reflected in studies carried out by The Boston Consulting Group, with the support of Google, that analysed not only the economic impact on companies’ revenues but also its equivalent in the number of jobs.
The studies also quantified how much Portugal’s citizens value Google products they use for free.
Assuming the average productivity of €21.60 an hour, studies found that revenues generated by Google products and services in Portugal are equivalent to around 70,000 jobs.
