Paulo Neves: Altice is “talking” to Prisa about Media Capital

Paulo Neves, CEO of PT Portugal, stated the Altice group is “talking” to Prisa, the Spanish media group, about a possible purchase of Media Capital, further adding he will “not make any more comments on the issue”.
“All I can say is that we are talking”, the CEO of one of Altice’s phone operator stated, when asked about negotiations for a probable purchase of Media Capital. He refrained from making any more comments on the subject.

On June 25, Altice confirmed to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) the group began “exploratory discussions” concerning a possible formal offer for Prisa’s equity in Media Capital, owner of Portuguese TV channel TVI.
