In November, the listed company expects to provide more visibility on the figures it estimates it will achieve in 2026 and the following two years.

EDP, in the context of its half-year results presentation on Thursday morning, updated its forecasts for the main income statement items for 2025, admitting that recurring profit could reach €1.3 billion.

“There is an upward revision of the outlook for the year”, Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade told ECO/Capital Verde. The electricity company has set a target for recurring EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation), which was €4.8 billion, in the range of €4.8 billion to €4.9 billion.

In turn, recurring net profit rises from €1.2 billion to a range that starts at the same level but caps at €1.3 billion. The outlook for net debt remains at €16 billion.

At Capital Markets Day, scheduled for 6 November, based on information from the US and Europe, but also on regulatory proposals for networks in Portugal, an outlook will be given for 2025 and 2026, but also, “probably”, 2027 and 2028.

EDP is releasing these forecasts as part of its presentation of results for the last half-year. The EDP group’s profit through June fell 7% to €709 million, while its clean energy subsidiary, in the same period, recorded a 56% year-on-year drop in first-half profit to €93 million.
