Hotels group part-owned by Robert de Niro to open first Portugal unit
"The first Nobu Hotel and Restaurant in Portugal will be located in the heart of Lisbon, on the famous Avenida da Liberdade," announced the company on their website.
The Nobu Hotels group, run by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper, has announced the opening of its first hotel in Portugal, to be located on Lisbon’s central axis, the Avenida da Liberdade.
“The first Nobu Hotel and Restaurant in Portugal will be located in the heart of Lisbon, on the famous Avenida da Liberdade,” reads a text on the company’s website.
“This prestigious address, known for its luxury boutiques and distinctive 19th century architecture, offers discerning travellers direct access to the city’s luxury retail, five-star restaurants and important cultural landmarks,” adds the Nobu group statement.
In the short note, which does not indicate the investment amount, nor the opening date, the group highlights that “the Baixa area, the trendy Chiado neighbourhood and the famous São Jorge Castle are only a short walk away, making this location the perfect base for exploring all that the city has to offer.”
