The new prices will be effective starting January 3. The price list will be valid for a maximum of two months due to the "volatility of current market conditions," the company justifies.

Navigator Company announced this Tuesday that it will increase the prices of uncoated woodfree (UWF) printing and writing paper from 10% and 15%. This increase will be effective starting January 3, but the price list will be only valid for the next two months.

The company said in a statement that the price list increase covers all its UWF products and that this increase includes the 50 euro per tonne rise in the surcharge, announced on October 15, to €100 a tonne.

Navigator says the “industry has been facing continuous additional increases in variable costs, particularly in energy and logistics, which is also leading to increases in most other commodities, such as chemicals and packaging materials.”

“Reflecting the volatility of current market conditions, the surcharge will be reviewed on a monthly basis and the price list will have a maximum validity of two months,” the company explains.

In early November, the company announced that it would increase prices of toilet paper or napkins by up to 10% from December 3.

The Navigator Company sells its products to 130 countries over five continents, under its paper brands Navigator, Discovery, Explorer, Inacopia, Inaset, Pioneer, Soporset and Target.
