The new General Manager of the multi-service mobility platform in Portugal was until now director of operations.

Bruno Borges is the new General Manager of Free Now Portugal, replacing Sérgio Pereira, who left the platform last September. The company’s choice to lead the Portuguese market focused on the, until now, director of operations.

“It is with enormous pride and sense of responsibility that I accept this challenge. The objectives are perfectly identified and are, in my opinion, although ambitious, achievable. We want to conquer market share and reinforce in Portugal the leadership status we have at the European level regarding multi mobility platforms”, says Bruno Borges, the new General Manager of Free Now Portugal, quoted in a press release.

“We have some news already prepared for 2022 that will certainly meet the responsible positioning assumed by the company in terms of sustainability. We want to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030 without, however, compromising competitiveness and the overall quality of our services. We will, therefore, offer more and more mobility alternatives to our users. This, of course, without forgetting our core business, TVDE and taxi, in which we are committed to strengthening and reinforcing the relationship with our drivers who are, for us, fundamental to raise, increasingly, the standards of our operation”, he adds.

Bruno Borges’ appointment comes after two years as director of operations. With a degree and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the University of Coimbra, as well as a period at the University of Liège (Belgium), Bruno Borges specialised in urban mobility with a PhD completed at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil).
