Trond Kongrød is new CEO of Inovretail

Trond Kongrød joins Inovretail after six years as SVP EMEA at StrongPoint, a company focused on e-commerce logistics, payment solutions and cost reduction for retailers.

Trond Kongrød is the new CEO of Inovretail, a company that develops SaaS solutions used by retailers such as Adidas or Levi’s and is part of Sonae IM’s portfolio of holdings. With over 25 years of experience in retail and technology companies, Trond moves from StrongPoin to join André Sousa and Hugo Lopes, the management team that has been leading the company.

“Shops will continue to play an important role in retail, but new resources are needed to meet customer expectations. We believe Inovretail’s product is uniquely positioned to help retailers with omnichannel and digital features that will become the standard in-shop experience. Trond brings a track record of retail, technology and scaling companies that will help the company accelerate its international growth”, says Eduardo Piedade, CEO of Sonae IM, quoted in a press release.

The new CEO will focus on “accelerating the company’s internationalisation”, which develops software used by retailers such as Levi’s or Adidas to funnel omnichannel capabilities and digital resources to shops.

Trond Kongrød joins Inovretail after six years as SVP EMEA at StrongPoint, a company focused on e-commerce logistics, payment solutions and cost reduction for retailers. Besides the SVP position, during the last four years the professional was responsible for “establishing and growing StrongPoint in Spain,” highlights Sonae IM’s subsidiary in a press release. Prior to StrongPoint, Trond gained extensive experience in retail, holding C-level roles in consumer electronics and food retailers.
