Efacec wins contract in Brazil

The Efacec group has been contracted to modernise the electricity distribution system in Rio de Janeiro. The project will be completed later this year.

Efacec Group, through Efacec Power Solutions Brazil, won a contract for the supply of services and protection, control and automation equipment related to Funil / Itatiaia 138kV transmission lines, in the municipality of Resende, Rio de Janeiro.

With delivery deadline still in 2021, the contract includes the installation of protection relays, digital disturbance recorders and also the supply of equipment developed by Efacec.

This contract is part of a package of interventions that aim to modernize the distribution system of ENEL Rio de Janeiro. The project strengthens the presence of Efacec in Brazil, a market where it has been operating for about three decades.

ENEL Rio de Janeiro guarantees quality, safety, innovation and sustainability in the supply of electricity and is present in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, Goiás and São Paulo, taking energy to around 17 million people, from homes to commercial establishments and industries.
