Last 24 hours see 13 deaths, 3,452 new coronavirus cases in Portugal

The area of Lisbon and Tagus Valley with 1,341 cases and the North region with 1,194 have 73.4% of the total of new infections in the last 24 hours.

Portugal on Wednesday recorded 13 deaths attributed to Covid-19, 3,452 new cases of infection by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and an increase in hospital admissions, according to official data.

According to the bulletin of the country’s national health authority, the DGS, 934 people are hospitalised on Wednesday with Covid-19, six more than on Tuesday, 200 of whom are in intensive care, the same number as yesterday.

The area of Lisbon and Tagus Valley with 1,341 cases and the North region with 1,194 have 73.4% of the total of new infections in the last 24 hours.

The 13 deaths occurred in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region (7), in the North region (5) and the Centre region (1).
