The USA placed Portugal at the "very high" level due to the worsening of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The United States of America (USA) has once again recommended that their citizens “avoid travel” to Portugal, placing the country at the “very high” level of Covid-19.

The announcement was made by the State Department, in a statement in which it indicated that Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan are also in that category.

As far as Portugal is concerned, the recommendation is specifically aimed at the pandemic.

The travel warnings were issued based on the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which placed Portugal and Spain at “level 4”.
