Number of registered unemployed in June down 6.0% on month, 7.1% YoY
The registered unemployed figure was 24,311 down on the month and 28,793 down on June of 2020, the report shows.
The number of unemployed registered in job centres in Portugal in June was down 6.0% on the month and 7.1% on June of 2020, according to data released on Tuesday by the country’s Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP).
According to the IEFP, at the end of June 377,872 people were registered as unemployed at job centres in mainland Portugal and the autonomous regions of Azores and Madeira – a figure that represents 66.9% of a total of 564,442 people enquiring after jobs.
