Groundforce's workers' unions were this week visited by the president of Swissport Spain.

Groundforce’s workers’ unions were visited this week by the president of Swissport Spain, who wanted to know what these organisations think about the company’s situation. A sign that the exclusive negotiations with Alfredo Casimiro’s Pasogal are still ongoing, according to Expresso.

However, pressure from the other candidates continues. The president of Aviapartner was also in Lisbon to meet with officials from the office of the Minister of Infrastructures, Pedro Nuno Santos. Montepio has also received expressions of interest, although the bank’s hands and feet are tied because of the injunction filed by Pasogal, which holds more than half the capital.

Groundforce’s 2,400 or so workers have only received 65% of their wages. The workers’ committee has written to Alfredo Casimiro this week calling on him to quickly resolve the problem of salary arrears.
