The Algarve circuit, which hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix on April 18, in the third round of the world championship, will host the 18th race of the year.

The International Autodrome of the Algarve in Portimão will once again host a round of the MotoGP World Championship on November 7, after the Australian round was cancelled due to travel restrictions because of the pandemic, the organisation announced on Tuesday.

The Algarve circuit, which hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix on April 18, in the third round of the world championship, will host the 18th race of the year, one week before the race in Valencia, which closes the competition.

This will be the third time that the ‘queen’ category of speed motorcycling passes through the Algarve International Racetrack, after the debut in 2020, with the victory of Miguel Oliveira (KTM).

The Portuguese rider is seventh in the riders’ standings, with 85 points, 71 less than Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), who leads the world after nine races.
