2,449 new cases and five deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal
The Lisbon and Tagus Valley area has 54.6% of new infections, with 1,339 new cases.
Portugal has 2,449 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection, a new high since mid-February, five deaths with Covid-19, an increase in admissions and a reduction in intensive care patients.
The number of new daily cases haven’t been this high since 13 February, when 2,856 contagions were recorded.
The epidemiological bulletin of the country’s national health authority, the DGS, said that 509 people are hospitalised on with Covid-19 Thursday, five more than on Wednesday, 113 of which in intensive care units, seven fewer.
The Lisbon and Tagus Valley area has 54.6% of new infections, with 1,339 new cases.
The North recorded an increase in the number of new cases with 566 in the last 24 hours, representing 23.1% of the national total.
