In little more than a year, this is the second integration of thousands of employees in Intelcia, a company controlled by the Altice Group.

Intelcia Portugal, an Altice group company, integrates as of tomorrow 1,100 new employees to its staff, to provide services in 12 call centres to foreign customers from Portugal.

In more than a year this is the second integration of thousands of employees at Intelcia, a company controlled by the Altice Group, after in January last year, Altice announced the incorporation in the outsourcing specialist company of two thousand employees, until then linked to ManpowerGroup, who provided services for Patrick Drahi’s group.

It now integrates another 1,100 workers. “This project represents the strengthening of Intelcia’s presence in the national and international market, as well as a stimulus to the Portuguese economy, to attract new projects to the country,” says Intelcia Portugal, quoted in a statement.

The decision comes “following the portfolio diversification strategy assumed four years ago by the Group in Portugal,” says Altice informing that “these new human resources will be integrated into the Altice universe through fixed and uncertain term contracts.”

In Portugal, Intelcia provides services to several national and international clients in various sectors of activity. With over 27 thousand employees, 6 thousand of which in Portugal, the company operates 56 sites in 17 countries. “Intelcia will continue its expansion by leveraging multilingual and customer service skills, through new growth opportunities in Portugal and the other countries where it operates,” the statement said.

The reinforcement of the call centre operation comes after Altice Portugal announced on June 22 a collective dismissal of up to 300 people at Meo’s owner.
