258 new cases and four deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

Since the start of the pandemic, Portugal has had 837,715 cases and 16,981 deaths from Covid-19.

There are 258 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 837,715. Four people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 296  inpatients, 87 of them in intensive care units (ICU). There are over 23,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 16,981 people, four of them in the last 24 hours.
