2,324 new cases and 127 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 2,324 new cases.

There are 2,324 new cases of coronavirus compared to Tuesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 790,885. 127 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 4,4137  inpatients, 719 of them in intensive care units. There are over 130,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 15,649 people, 127 of them in the last 24 hours.
