The University of Lisbon (UL) is going to close all in-person activities due to the complex epidemiological situation the country is going through.

The University of Lisbon (UL) is to close all in-person activities, but has decided to ensure that the in-person exams scheduled for the next few days are held, the dean, António Cruz Serra, told Lusa on Thursday.

“What we are going to do is to close all in-person activity in a controlled manner. We will not fail to give a student who has an exam tomorrow [Friday] or on Saturday, who has studied for weeks for the exam, the opportunity to take it if the school can guarantee all the safety conditions,” he said.

UL will postpone the in-person assessment for the written exams and adopt the online assessment in case of oral exams, project discussion or meetings

“The in-person written exams are not transformed into an online exam. They are postponed until they can be taken, which in our view will not be before mid-April,” Cruz Serra said.
