3,772 new cases and 79 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 3,772 new cases.

There are 3,772 new cases of coronavirus compared to Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 307,618. 79 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 3,330 inpatients, 525 of them in intensive care units. There are over 81,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 4,724 people, 79 of them in the last 24 hours.
