425 new cases and four more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 65,021.

There are 425 new cases of coronavirus compared to Tuesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 65,021. Four people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections, with 53.4% of the total.

As for the number of recovered patients, the figures released by the health authorities show a further 177, a number higher than the last bulletin. In total, 44,362 people have already recovered from the disease.

Considering the confirmed cases of infection since the beginning of the pandemic, but also those recovered, there are currently 18,784 active cases, more 244 since the last DGS update.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 478  inpatients, 59 of them in intensive care units. There are over 35,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.
