Three deaths and 244 new cases of Covid-19 in Portugal

In the last 24 hours, 244 new cases of the new coronavirus have been identified in Portugal. The total number of infected people rises to 58,012.

Portugal has registered 244 new cases of infection by Covid-19, bringing the number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic to 58,012. In the last 24 hours, three more people have died from the disease, according to the latest report by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS). Lisbon and Tagus Valley again concentrate the largest number of new infections.

According to the latest report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), most new cases were registered in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region (+137 new infections) and in the North (+83).

Since the pandemic arrived in Portugal on March 2nd, 1,822 people have died from the disease, that is, three more than in the previous balance and all in the region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley. The data revealed this Monday also shows that 76 more patients have recovered. In total, 41,961 people have already recovered from the disease.
