Number of Covid-19 cases increases 0.6%. Death toll at 1,231

The last DGS report counts 173 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus in 24 hours. 13 people have died from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Portugal has registered 173 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 0.6% over the previous day, with the total number of infected people rising to 29,209.

In the last 24 hours, further 13 people died due to Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,231, according to the latest Directorate-General for Health (DGS) report.

The data revealed this Monday also show that 6,430 people have already recovered from the new coronavirus in Portugal. Among those infected, there are 628 people hospitalized, of which 105 are in intensive care units.
