Amorim Group buys 10% of Ahorro Corporación

The Amorim Group bought a stake in the Spanish group Ahorro Corporación.

The Amorim group has acquired close to 10% of the Spanish group Ahorro Corporación, which focuses its primary market operations and is known in Spain as the investment arm of the extinct Spanish savings banks.

According to the portuguese Agency Lusa, the Amorim family enters this sector to promote the presence of Ahorro Corporación in Portugal and try to generate wealth.  Besides that, Lusa adds that sources from Ahorro Corporación confirmed that the Amorim group had bought the stake from StormHorbour, which is now in a minority position.
